Upcoming Events and Dates to Remember:
- Friday, February 8: CCES 6th grade articulation packets due.
- Thursday, February 14: Valentine's Day parties in your child's classroom in the afternoon

- DC Trip - Friday April 18th and Monday April 21st

Reminders:
- Assessments that are sent home may require a parent signature. Please check with your child when quizzes or tests are returned to see how he or she is doing. If a signature is required, please sign and send the test or quiz back to school.
- We will return from spring break on March 31. MSA testing begins that day. Please do not extend your vacation plans into that week. Your child must be at school for testing.
- Please review all papers with your child on a regular basis and be sure he/she is filing them in the designated sections of his/her binder.
- Please encourage your child to submit his or her play to Center Stage: http://YPF.centerstage.org
Sixth Grade
Now is the time to start earning SSL Hours. What is SSL? It is an acronym for Student Service Learning. These are hours students donate to community service. To graduate, you must earn at least 75 hours of service work with a non-profit organization. You can begin to accumulating hours starting in the 6th grade. Some example activities include:
- Serve dinner at a shelter.
- Collect clothing for the people in need.
- Join an organized legal march for a clean environment.
- Help others and society.
