Enrichment & Innovative Programs
Elementary Center Program for the Highly Gifted and Magnet Middle Schools
MCPS is holding several upcoming workshops and parent information meetings for its enriched and innovative programs, including the Center Program for the Highly Gifted at CCES and various Middle School Magnet programs. Key dates are listed below.
Elementary Center Program for the Highly Gifted
The Elementary Center Programs for the Highly Gifted provide a learning environment for Grade 4 and Grade 5 students that enriches, accelerates, and extends the MCPS curriculum. The Center program for students in CCES's school district cluster is housed within CCES.
Parent Information meetings:

John F. Kennedy High School
The application deadline is Friday, November 14, 2008.
Middle School Magnet Consortium (MSMC)
MSMC is made up of three schools -- Argyle, Loiederman, and Parkland middle schools -- each of which offers an innovative and challenging magnet curriculum. Argyle focuses on digital design and development; Loiederman offers a creative and performing arts focus; and Parkland provides students the opportunity to explore math and science through aerospace technology and robotic engineering.

Middle School Magnet Application Programs
The Middle School Magnet Application Programs provide rigorous and engaging programs in Humanities and Communication and in Mathematics, Science, and Computer Science.The two programs for students of CCES's school district cluster are Takoma Park and Eastern MS.

Informational meetings for the MSMC begin at 7:00 p.m. and information will be offered in English and Spanish. Information meetings are identical.
